Her other passions included gardening and sewing. She designed and made all her own clothing and sewed for others as well. Frank L. Manown; 74; of Belle Vernon (Lynnwood); died Wednesday; July 27; 2005; in his home. A son of the late Clinton H. and Ida Lermineaux Manown; he was born in Rostraver Township on March 15; 1931. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; he was a member of Calvary Bible Church in North Charleroi and a charter member of the Laurel Hunting Lodge. An avid golfer; Mr. Manown was inducted to the Belle Vernon Football Hall of Fame and was a corporal in the U.S. Army; serving with the combat engineers during the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1987 after 36 years from the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Co.; where he was a motor inspector. Survivors include his wife; Mary Roush Manown; with whom he would have celebrated 54 years of marriage on Oct. 19; 2005; a daughter; Melanie Bryner and husband Donald of Florida; two sons; Frank C.
