Ruth S. Fagan; 84; of Belle Vernon; died Friday; Nov. 14; 2008; in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Frank and Lyda Maund Stevenson; she was born March 26; 1924; in Webster (Rostraver Township). Ruth was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon; the Monongahela Order of Eastern Star Chapter 108; where she was a past Worthy Matron; and the Washington Township Senior Citizens. She had resided in Belle Vernon for over 50 years. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law; David W. and Janet Fagan; of Monroeville; five grandchildren; David and Craig Fagan and Jennifer; Robert and William Fagan; and numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; William Fagan; on May 27; 1986; one son; Robert S. Fagan; on April 9; 1997; and her brother; Robert Stevenson. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY INC.; 700 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-5300); www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the First Presbyterian Church on Tuesday; Nov. 18; at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Suzanne Currie officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The officers and members of the First Presbyterian Church will meet in the funeral home to hold services Monday at 7 p.m.
