Margaret A. Scheponik; 86; formerly of Charleroi; died Saturday; Sept. 24; 2011; in the Moses Cone Hospital; Greensboro; N.C. She was born Aug. 8; 1925; in Monessen; a daughter of the late Ewing and Margaret Jennewine Trnavsky. Mrs. Scheponik was a member of the First Christian Church in Charleroi and a former member of the church choir. She was an avid bridge player and had received national rankings. Surviving is her son; Paul R. Scheponik and his wife; Iris; of Winston-Salem; N.C.; three grandchildren; Kristoffer Scheponik; John and Melissa Coulter; and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents; Mrs. Scheponik is preceded in death by her husband; John Scheponik (1977); and her daughter; Katherine Coulter (2009). Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC.; 226 Fallowfield Ave.; Charleroi. Jean Graham Zackal; 84; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Friday; July 6; 2012; in Respi Care Center; Waynesburg; with Wayne and Betty Ann by her side. Born May 28; 1928; in Fayette City; she was a daughter of the late William Graham Sr. and Jane Love Harper Graham. She graduated from Rostraver High School in 1946. Jean was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon until three years ago when her health declined with dementia and recently end-stage dementia. She was a member of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church of Fayette City. She enjoyed spending time with her family and she also enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was a devoted mother; grandmother; great-grandmother and aunt. She is survived by son and daughter-in-law; Wayne and Betty Ann Zackal; of Garards Fort; three grandchildren; Heather Etner and husband; Martin; of Vienna; Va.; Carrie LaMere and husband; Rob; of Youngstown; Fla.; and Justin Zackal; of State College; seven great-grandchildren; Dylan Graham Etner; Lydia Etner; Steven LaMere; Zak LaMere; Elias LaMere; Rachel LaMere and Erik LaMere; brother; Gordon Graham; of Cheboygan; Mich.; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Albert Red Zackal; brothers; Earl Graham; William Graham Jr.; Irwin Graham; Alexander Graham and eight days ago by her twin brother; Eugene Graham; sisters; Hazel Ambler; Agnes Bollens and Lillian Graham; and a great-grandson; Joshua Dietrich Etner.
