Born June 24; 1912; in Novakovec; Croatia; she was a daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Jankovich Bice. A resident of Carmichaels for the past 41 years; having previously resided in Waynesburg; Mrs. Yanak was a member of St. Hugh’s Roman Catholic Church; Carmichaels; was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting and watching cooking shows. She is survived by a daughter; Betty Jean Rinehart; of San Antonio; Texas; two daughters-in-law; Charlene Yanak; of Brownsville; and Nellie Yanak; of Waynesburg; a sister; Dorothy Bice Halgus; of Belle Vernon; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a dear friend; Wilma Cyd Philips. She was preceded in death by her husband; Michael Yanak Sr.; two sons; Robert and Michael Yanak Jr.; three sisters; Ruth McGinsky; Mary Mrkobrad and Milka Magic; and a brother; Dragec Bice.
