Jennie DeFazio Evans; 97; of North Belle Vernon; died Friday; Sept. 26; 2008; at Harmon House; Mt. Pleasant. Born May 21; 1911; in Belle Vernon; she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Elizabeth Stagi DeFazio. A lifelong resident of North Belle Vernon and a homemaker; Mrs. Evans was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church. She was a member of the former Catholic Daughters of the Americas; Belle Vernon Court 1522 and the former St. Sebastian Legion of Mary. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law; Irene and Guido Simboli; of North Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Henry V. Evans; a daughter; Lois Evans; three brothers; Santos ‘Sam’; Tony and James DeFazio; and three sisters; Mary DeFazio; Theresa Baker and Rose Campisano. Private visitation and funeral services were held this morning; Monday; Sept. 29; with the Rev. Ronald L. Simboli officiating at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; family owned and operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183). Interment took place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Helen Nutting; 87; of Fallowfield Township; died Monday May 30; 2011; in Mon Valley Care Center. Born April 21; 1924; in Fairhope; a daughter of John and Elizabeth Moskal Kramrech. A member of Mary; Mother of the Church; Charleroi. Mrs. Nutting loved her cats; lottery scratch-offs and enjoyed ironing. She is survived by her son; Tom Nutting; of Fallowfield Township; and numerous nieces; nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband; Joseph Nutting; in 1980; her daughter; Patricia Nutting in 2003; three brothers; John Jr.; Stephen and George Kramrech; and a sister; Anna Brown. Visitation will be held on Wednesday; June 1; from 4 to 8 p.m. in the LEONARD M. PAVLIC FUNERAL HOMES INC.; 235 Fallowfield Ave;. Charleroi. A blessing service will be held on Thursday; June 2; at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev. Gerald Mikonis officiating. Internment will follow at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
