Dora Gallo; 98; of Belle Vernon; died Friday; July 9; 2010; in Havencrest Nursing Center; Carroll Township. Born in Belle Vernon on Feb. 27; 1912; she was the daughter of the late August and Rose Sylvestre. A homemaker; Dora was a lifelong member of Olive Branch Baptist Church in Rostraver Township. Throughout the years; she taught the Whatsoever Class; worked with the Abiding Memorial Fund; and for many years taught Junior Class. She is survived by her daughter; Nancy Gallo; of Minneapolis; Minn.; a granddaughter; Amanda (Chris) Bartz; of Arizona; three great-grandchildren; Cody; Delaney; and Nicholas Bartz. In addition to her parents; Dora was preceded in death by her husband; Hugh E. Gallo; two daughters; Jacqueline Gallo and Shirley Gallo Succop; and a grandson; Robert Succop. Mona F. Sichi; 80; of Belle Vernon; went to be with the Lord on Sunday; Sept. 27; 2009; in Country Care Manor. A daughter of the late Felix and Jay Johnson Franks; she was born on March 21; 1929. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon; Mona was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Armand Jr. and Pamela Sichi of Belle Vernon and Barry and Terri Sichi of Monongahela; and two grandchildren; Joshua Sichi of Belle Vernon and Richard Sichi and wife Elizabeth of New Eagle. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Armand Mundo Sichi Sr. in 1998; and one sister; Margaret Eitzen.
