Howard Francis Burrows;65;of 320 Roley St.;Belle Vernon;died Tuesday;Nov.13;in his residence. He was the son of the late James and Baldwina Costello Burrows. He was a lifelong resident of Belle Vernon;a U.S.Army veteran of World War II and retired from the Donora Southwestern Railroad. He was also a member of St.Sebastian Church of Belle Vernon. Preceding him in death were three brothers;James Jr.;Walter and Clarence. Friends are being received in the Leonard Parzynski Funeral Home;Belle Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m.Friday;Nov.16;1979;in St.Sebastian Church. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

207 Luella Ave.; Charleroi;
died in Mon Valley Hospital at
10:50 p.m. Sunday;Nov.11;1979.
She was born March 7;1892;
the daughter of the late Henry
and Amelia Arnold Billion in
Belgium.
Her husband; Arthur; died
on March 27 of this year. She
was also preceded in death by
a daughter; Matilda Gray; a
sister; Lucy Eckart; and two
brothers; Joseph and Edward
Billion.
She is survived by a son;
Charles of Charleroi; a
daughter; Mrs. Angelo
(Yvonne) Capella of
Charleroi; a brother; Jules; of
Providence; R.I.; and a sister;
Mrs. Alice Davis of Hartford;
Conn. Additional survivors include four grandchildren and
13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be
conducted at the Leonard
Pavlic Funeral home at 11
a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
Francis Blair officiating.
Burial will be in Belle Vernon
Cemetery.

Paul Brazack;65;Hackensack;N.J.;formerly of Belle Vernon;died at Wellington Hall Nursing Home in Hackensack on Saturday;Oct.27;1979 at 12:50 a.m. Born in Grindstone April 13;1914;he was the son of the late George and Mary Cirbus Brazack. He was a retired employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Allenport plant. He was a member of St.John’s Lutheran Church of Charleroi and the Elks lodge in Charleroi. He was preceded in death by his wife;Angelina Flora Brazack in October of 1971. He is survived by a daughter;Mrs.Judith Stephens;Little Ferry;N.J.;a brother;Martin Brazack of Miami;Fla.;and two grandsons. Services were held Monday;Oct.29;1979 at 10:30 a.m. from the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home in Belle Vernon and at 11 a.m. from St.John’s Lutheran Church in Charleroi;Rev.Stephen C.Hurnyak officiating. at her home at 1105 State
Road; Monessen.
She was 95. Born in Dawson; she was
one of the owners of the former
Beery’s Food Store for
many years.
She was a member of the
First Christian Church of
Monessen; a 53-year member
of the Order of Eastern Star
205; and a member of the
Monessen Woman’s Club for
50 years. Surviving are three
daughters; Mrs. Eloise Bow of
Gettysburg; Mrs.Gladys
Hamill of Weirton; W.Va. and
Mrs. Harry (Carmen) Touche
of Monessen; with whom she
lived. Also surviving are six grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bitonti had been a
barber in Belle Vernon for 65
years.
He was born in Italy on
Sept. I8; 1898; a son of the late
Pete and Sarafina Caputo
Bitonti.
He had resided in Belle Vernon for more than 75 years and
was a member of St. Sebastian
Catholic Church of Belle Vernon.
Mr. Bitonti is survived by
his widow; Rose Rogers Bitonti; two sons; Tony P. Bitonti of

Bitonti of Belle Vernon; three

ELIZABETH ANN ( BETTY )VANCE BUNARDZYA
Betty V.Bunardzya;a member of a pioneer Belle Vernon family and a talented pianist-organist and dedicated church worker;died Monday;Aug.13;1979;at 5:50 p.m.in Mercy Hospital;Pittsburgh;following a heart seizure. She was 62. Death came just six days short of when she had suffered a heart attack two years ago;followed by other major surgery in June 1978. A resident of 138 State St.;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Bunardzya served the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon as organist since 1937. She also was choir director at the church for the past 15 years after previously having filled that position on an interim basis several times. Mrs.Burardzya had served in a smiilar capacity at the former Rodef Shalom Temple in Charleroi and later Temple Beth Am in Monessen following a merger of the two congregations. She also performed for the former minstrel shows sponsored by the Belle Vernon Lions Club and was in much demand for weddings and other functions. In 1928;Mrs.Bunardzya was crowned as the first queen at the Charleroi Charthene Club’s first annual Snow Ball. She was a member of the Magic City Chapter of the American Contract Bridge League. A 1935 graduate of the former Belle Vernon High School;she attended a business college in the state of California. She was employed as a secretarial teachers aide in the Belle Vernon Area School District for the past 12 years. Mrs.Bunardzya was born Elizabeth Anna Vance on Feb.4;1917;a daughter of James H.Vance;retired North Belle Vernon businnessman who survives;and the late Lucy Holder Vance;who preceded her in death in 1946. She was a life-long resident of Belle Vernon. In addition to her father;Mrs.Bunardzya is survived by her husband of 38 years;John R.Bunardzya;a veteran Mon Valley newspaper man who is currently a reporter with the Valley Independent;two sons;Vance R.Bunardzya of Lynnwood (Washington Twp.)and J.William (Bill) Bunardzya at home;her step-mother;Mrs.James H.(Bernadine) Vance of North Belle Vernon;and two grandchildren;Michael J.Bunardzya and Jennifer Lee Bunardzya. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m.at the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon.
