The Rev.Wilbur J.Hubbard;70;of 684 Mckee Ave.;Monessen;went to be with our Lord on Friday;Dec.1;2000 in Mon Valley Hospital;following a lengthy illness. He was born Dec.1;1930 in Galveston;Texas;a son of the late Leroy Hubbard Sr.and Georgia Hubbard;who survives and resides in Hitchcock;Texas. The Rev.Hubbard was a graduate of Central High School in Galveston;Texas. He attended the Corte Business School and the Maryland General Seminary;both in Baltimore;as well as the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. He was employed for seven years as an activity director and counslor with Threshold Group Home Inc.;Greensburg. Baptist by faith;he became ordained as a minister on May 29;1951 at Second Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Houston;Texas. He was the founding pastor of Sunnyside Baptist Church in Houston. He also served as pastor of St.James Baptist Church in Baltimore for three years;the Morning Star Baptist Church in Baltimore for five years;the Fellowship Baptist Church in Monessen for 23 years and was installed as pastor of First Baptist Church in Lamberton in 1997. He served in many capacities within the organizational structure of the Youghiogheny Western Baptist Association Inc. He was also a past president of the Monessen Clergy Association;a member of the Monessen Planning Commission and a former member of the board of directors of the Community Food bank in McKeesport. He was a member of Mt.Aarrot;in Cardale at the time of his death. In addition to his father;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Leroy Hubbard Jr.and Henry Hubbard. Survivors;in addition to his mother;include his wife;Myrtle Allen Hubbard of Monessen;two daughters;Marjorie Arlene Oliver of Pittsburgh;and Sandra Ann Logan of Harrisburg;one sister-in-law;Jewel Hubbard of Galveston;Texas;four grandchildren;Earl Miller Jr.of Pittsburgh;Stacey Annise Kent of Harrisburg;Charla Anne Johnson of Williamsport and Cassandra Arlene Logan of State College;three great-grandchildren;Brandon Earl Miller;Chandler Jerrold Logan and Logan Belai Kent;and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ;Reed Ave.;Monessen;where funeral services will be held Wednesday;Dec.6 at 1 p.m.;with the Rev.James Slaughter;pastor of Mt.Aarrot;officiating;assisted by Elder William Bass;pastor of Gate of Heaven Church of God in Christ. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The William R.Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen;is in charge of the arrangements.

Catherine M.Huscroft;82;of North Charleroi;died Saturday;July 22;2000;in the Washington County Health Center;Washington;Pa. She was born on Jan.25;1918;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late Stephen Stanley and Louise (Steinmiller) Nichol. Mrs.Huscroft was a member of the First Christian Church of Charleroi and was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary of Charleroi. She was retired from the former McGinley Maintenance. Survivors include a daughter;Mrs.Joe (Louise) Garcia of North Charleroi;a sister;Mrs.Ray (Dory) Lehr of North Charleroi;a brother and his wife;Mr.Stephen Stanley Nichol Jr.and his wife;Hazel;of Stone Mountain;Ga.;four grandchildren;Lynne Punich of Simpsonville;S.C.;Terri Legg of Belle Vernon;Donald Gray of Hagerstown;Md.;and David Gray of Belle vue;Pa.;and by several nieces and nephews. Larry W.(Buddy) Heino;48;of Dunlevy;died Thursday;June 8;2000;in Integrated Health Services of Greensburg. He was born March 22;1952;in North Charleroi;a son of Leonard T.Heino;who died April 30;1996;and Helen F.Zadrozny Heino who survives. Larry;who lived with his mother;was a member of the Roscoe Sportsmen’s Club;the Allenport Rod and Gun Club and the Dunlevy Hunting Camp. A life-long Dunlevy resident;he was employed as a crane operator at Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel;Allenport. He graduated from Charleroi High School in 1971 where he was a member of the soccer team. In addition to his mother;he is survived by two brothers;Leonard D.and his wife;Kathleen Heino of Long Branch;and Jeffrey W.Heino of Dunlevy;three nieces;Lisa;Lindsey abd Christina Heino;and several aunts and uncles.
