Andrew Balaska;84;of 518 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;May 2;1973 at 10 a.m. Mr.Balaska was born in Austria-Hungary on March 4;1889;and was a World War I veteran. He lived in Belle Vernon since 1905 and was a retired mine worker. He was a member of American Legion Post 659;Belle Vernon;and Slovak Evangelical Union of Monessen. Surviving are two brothers;John Balaska;with whom he resided;and Michael Balaska;also of Belle Vernon;and one sister in Czechoslovakia. A resident of Monessen since 1917;she was a member of St.Cajetan R.C.Church;its Rosary Altar Society and the Ladies Mutual Aid Society;all of Monessen.
