Lester Gales;59;of 327 Philip St.;Speers Hill;who was a U.S.Lock engineer;died in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital yesterday at 10:30 p.m. Mr.Gales had lived most of his life in the Speers vicinity. He was born in Coal Center;Sept.30;1905;the son of the late Joseph and Mary Murphy Gales. Surviving are his widow;Elizabeth Gartland Gales;one son;John L.of Speers;two daughters;Mrs.David (Elizabeth) McClaskey of Pittsburgh and Mrs.Joseph (Margaret) Flint of Youngstown;Ohio;seven grandchildren. Andrew Galla;67;of 101 Galla St.;Belle Vernon (Arnold City);died Thursday;Sept.2;1965 at 12:45 p.m.in Connellsville State Hospital. Mr.Galla was a retired railroad laborer who belonged to the First Slovak Union No.279 of Fayette City. He was a veteran of World War I. He was born in Fayette City Jan.1;1898. Surviving are one brother;John of Arnold City and several nieces and nephews.
