She was born in Macon;Ga.on May 1;1906;daughter of the late John and Bertha Bailey;and moved to Monessen in 1920. Mrs.Greene was a member of Union Baptist Church of Monessen and the Senior Usher Board;Circle Ruth;Mission Society and Deaconess Board of the church. She was preceded in death by a brother;Leroy (Flash) Bailey;in 1934. Surviving are her husband;Linwood Dewey Greene;two sons;Linwood D.Greene Jr.of Poughkeepsie;N.Y.;and Donald Greene of Rockville;Md.;four daughters;Mrs.odell (Bertha) Jones of North Charleroi;Mrs.Henry (Klara) Brown of New York City;Mrs.Charles (Dorothy) Byrd of North Charleroi and Mrs.Jesse Reed of Springfield;Va.;one foster daughter;Mrs.Lillie Mills of Eldora;and 11 grandchildren. Friends are being received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.on Saturday at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home;Monessen;and after 4 p.m.on Sunday at the Union Baptist Church;Monessen. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m.at the church with the Rev.L.D.Wiley;pastor;officiating. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. William R.Taylor Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
