Mr.Houseman;who was born in West Elizabeth;Jan.11;1891;was the second commander of Charleroi American Legion Post 22. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War I. He was a carpenter by trade and was a member of the Carpenter’s Union;Local 142;Pittsburgh. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church of East Liberty. John Smith (Jack) Harvey;82;a former resident of Motheral Ave.;Monessen;died Friday;Aug.4;1961;at 3:20 a.m. in Alexander Restorium;St.Petersburg;Fla.;after a long illness. Mr.Harvey was born in England;Aug.7;1879. Before his retirement he was employed as a scales inspector at the Monessen Page Plant of American Chain and Cable Co. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church;Monessen and of Free and Accepted Masonic Lodge 638. Surviving are a daughter;E.Marjorie Harvey of St.Petersburg;Fla.;a former teacher in Monessen Schools;with whom he made his home;a brother;Richard H.of Belle Vernon and a nephew;J.G.Smith of Bristol;England. she is survived by one son;

John Hlopko;64;of 5 Linden Ave.;Monessen;died Wednesday;March 8;1961;at 7:55 a.m.of a heart attack at the Monessen Page plant of American Chain & Cable Co.;where he had been employed in the testing department since 1939. Westmoreland County Coroner Stehpen D.Yoney said Mr.Hlopko had suffered a heart ailment previous to this morning’s fatal attack. Surviving is his widow;Dorothea. Mr.Hlopko was a member of the Most Holy Name of Jesus R.C.Church;Monessen and its Holy Name Society;Catholic Sokols;Ukrainian Political Club and Russian-American Association.
