He was born Jan.2;1908;in Belle Vernon;the son of Henry and Belle Hester Minney Johnson. He was a veteran of World War II. Born Feb.12;1883;in Czechoslovakia;the deceased was the son of the late Andrew and Susan Jurenek. Mr.Jurenek was a retired employee of the galvanizing department of the Page Division;American Chain & Cable Co.;Monessen. died Thursday night;April 8;1971; in Columbia
Hospital in Wilkinsburg.
He had suffered a heart attack
last Sunday; while conducting a
baptismal service in the
McMasters United Methodist
Church at Turtle Creek; where
he had been the minister since
1967. Rev. Mr. Johnston; was pastor
of the Jollytown Methodist
Circuit from 1934 to 1936; the
Carmichaels Methodist Church
from 1936 to 1942; and the
Street Methodist
Waynesburg; from
Washington
Church;in
1942 to 1951.
He then served pastorates in
Donora; Kittanning; and Duquesne before being named
pastor of the Turtle Creek
Church.
Funeral services were held at
2 p.m. Sunday in the McMasters Church with burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
