Louis Miller;Sr.;aged 79 years;of Weirton;W.Va.;died Wednesday evening;Oct.7;1953. A former resident of Monessen;Mr.Miller had been employed at the Pittsburgh Steel Co.;for many years and later as janitor at the Linden School. Surviving are two sons;Louis Miller;Jr.Monessen;and Martin Miller;Belle Vernon;five daughters.Mrs.Marie Mincks;Donora;Mrs.Elsie Purks;Weirton;Mrs.Evelyn Curnow;Riviera Beach;Fla.;Mrs.Ruth Johannesmeyer;Greenville;and Mrs.Dorothy Dickerson;Monongahela. Five grandchildren and a great grandchild also survive. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1949. Friends are being received at the Harper Memorial Chapel;McKee avenue;where funeral services will be held Saturday;Oct.10;1953;at 2 p.m.with Rev.Alvan Jordan;of St.Paul’s Lutheran Church offficiating.
