Surviving ara a son;Lester of North Lima;with whom she made her home;two sisters;Mrs.Lawrence (Laura) Peroney of Greenock;Pa.;and Mrs.Lena Cornell of Whitehall Borough. Friends will be received at the Harold R.Toner Funeral Home;Belle Vernon;from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. starting May 17. Service there Sunday evening;May 18 at 7:30 with Dr.S.Arthur Talman;pastor of Belle Vernon’s First Presbyterian Church;officiating. Mrs. Mary Modrak; 68; of
1201 Henry St.; Belle Vernon;
suffered a heart attack at her
home Sunday;Feb.16;1969; and was
dead on arrival at the Charleroi-Monessen Hospital at 11:25
a.m.
She was born in Austria-Hungary; Dec. 23; 1900; and spent
most of her life in Belle Vernon.
She was a member of St.
Mary’s Byzantine Catholic
Church of Monessen.
Preceded in death by her
husband John Modrak in 1946;
she is survived by three sons;
Michael of Bradenton; Fla.;
Frank of Belle Vernon; and William of Roscoe; two daughters;
Mrs. George (Margaret) Fabian and Mrs. James (Irene)
Mendicino; of Belle Vernon; one
brother; John Motchkoski; of Belle
Vernon; two sisters; Mrs. John
Zevok; of Belle Vernon; and Mrs.
John Shuma; of Belle Vernon
R. D.; six grandchildren and
one great-grandchild.
Friends will be received at
the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home; Belle Vernon; after 7 p.m. Monday. Parastas service will be held there on Wednesday;Feb.19;1969;at 8:45 a.m.;will be followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church of Monessen. The Rev.Andrew D.Parvensky will be the celebrant and interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson of Belle Vernon is the funeral director.
