Mrs.Lillian Baker Saunders;88;of 686 Ninth St.;Monessen;died at 9 a.m. Tuesday;Oct.24;1972;at her residence following an illness of eight months. Born Sept.25;1884;in Braddock;she was the daughter of the late James and Carrie Baker. She had been a resident of Monessen for most of her adult life and was active in church and civic affairs. Mrs.McCraw was well known for her elocution and writings and she gave many concerts throughout the mid-Mon Valley. In 1947;she married John Maurice McCraw and moved to Aquasco;Md.;where she resided until she became ill several months ago and returned to Monessen. She was a member of Wayman A.M.E.Church of Monessen.
