She was born in Roscoe; December 7; 1898; the daughter of William and Drusilla Abbott Gollick.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Monongahela.
Survivors are her husband Nixon O’Neil; one son; Robert of Coal Center; R. D. #1; one daughter; Mrs. Alfred (Betty) Lindsay of Coal Center R. D. #1; two brothers; William Gollick of Dearborn; Michigan; and Howard Gollick of Charleroi; R. D. #1; two sisters; Mrs. Ella Pomerson of Sandusky; Ohio and Mrs. Sterling (Emma) McCusker; Charleroi; and 4 grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Ruth Eckert Funeral Home; Roscoe. Services will be held there Thursday;May 10;1962;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Elder John M.Olexa of the Monongahela Church of Jesus Christ;and the Rev.George Kennedy of the Clover Hill Methodist Church. Mrs. Ruth Hough Owens; 64; of R. D. 1. Fayette City; died suddenly on Wednesday March 28;1962 at 3:30 p.m.; at her late home. She was born in Fayette City; July 11;1897;and was a member of the Fayette City Christian Church.
Surviving are her husband; William C Owens; four daughters; Mrs. Lee (Betty) Barnes of Fayette City; Mrs. Millard (Virginia) Book of R. D. 1; Fayette City; Mrs. Emil (Edith) Panzo and Mrs. Ellsworth (Mary Ellen) Wilkinson; both of Belle Vernon; four sons; William James; Robert Ewing; and Richard Aland Owens; all at home; and Herbert Negley Owens of Fayette City. Also surviving are four sisters; Mrs. George (Florence) Massey of Connellsville Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Croushore and Mrs. James (Beatrix) Welsh; both of Belle Vernon and Mrs. Emery (Helen) Lear of Tujunga; Calif.; three brothers; Herbert Hough of Cleveland;Ohio; Negley Hough of Avon Lake; Ohio and David Hough; of Fayette City; thirteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Mabel I.O’Hara;66; of 604 Fayette St.;Belle Vernon;died at her home Wednesday Aug.16;1961;at 11 p.m. Mrs.O’Hara was a member of the Pricedale Union Church;the Belle Vernon Review;Woman’s Benefit Association;which she served as recording secretary and Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 659;Belle Vernon. Surviving are one son;William O’Hara of Belle Vernon;two daughters;Mrs. Herbert (Ann) Myers;Speers Hill;Charleroi and Mrs. Addison (Frances) Bowers of Belle Vernon;with whom she made her home. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at Wednesday June 29;1960 at 9 a.m.for Leona M.Orlando;44;of 508 Speers St.;North Belle Vernon;who died at 11:35 a.m.Saturday;June 25;1960;in Charleroi-Monessen Hospital following a lingering illness. Miss Orlando had been an employee of the the Daily Independent for 26 years;joining the staff in 1934 as a correspondent for the Belle Vernon area. In 1941;Miss Orlando was assigned to The Independent’s editorial office in Monessen as a news and sports reporter. She became well known for her coverage of district sports during World War II. Later she entered The Independent’s advertising department;where she was employed until being hospitalized. Miss Orlando is survived by her stepmother;Ameila Orlando. Her father died 17 years ago. Her only brother;Salvatore;was killed in action in the European Theatre of operations during World War II. Friends are being received at the Toner Funeral Home in North Belle Vernon. A Requiem High Mass will be said for Miss Orlando at 9 o’clock Wednesday morning at St.Sebastian R.C.Church. She will be buried in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
