He was a member of the St.Edward R.C.Church;Fayette City. Surviving are a son John;of Roscoe and a son in Europe;a daughter;Mrs.John (Mary) Krofcheck;with whom Mr.Podany made his home. Five grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren also survive. Friends will be received at the Freguson Funeral Home. Services there Wednesday;February 5;at 9 a.m.;will be followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Edward’s Church at 9:30 o’clock;in charge of Rev.Charles W.Ribick. Mrs.Ruth Palfrey of 138 Homewood avenue;Lynnwood;died in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;Sunday July 28;1957;at 1:30 p.m. Mrs.Palfrey was a member of the Marion Presbyterian church;Fairhope;and served as the first president of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Township Fire Department.
