Dr. Amerigo Frank Tesi; 63; a native
of Belle Vernon; a professor
of clothing and textiles at
Pennsylvania State University;
died Tuesday;March 30;1971; of an apparent
heart attack.
He was born in Belle Vernon on April 13;1907;a son ot the late
Joseph and Caroline Marini
Tesi. He joined the Penn State
faculty in 1962; and was widely
known in the textiles industry.
He was author of sections on
acetate and triacetate fibers of
a book; Man-Made Textile
Encyclopedia. and co-author of
a chapter on the same fibers
in Encyclopedia on Chemical
Technology. He had published
many articles in journals and
trade publications on textiles;
research; dyeing and finishing
and standards for consumer
goods. |
Surviving are his widow; Mrs.
Inez Del Debbio Tesi; a son;Kenneth J.of Birmingham;Mich.;
two daughters;Mrs.George Kantor of Dayton;Ohio;and Mrs.Jerry Ogler of Tampa;Fla.;one brother; Guido Tesi
of Belle Vernon; two sisters;
Mrs Charles Gennaula of
Charleroi and Mrs. Albert
Venneri of Monessen; and six
grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday;April 2;1971. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Cecil Tartt Sr.;51;of Donora;died Sunday;March 7;1971;in Monongahela Memorial Hospital. Survivors include his widow;Leola Tartt;two daughters;Joyce Ann and Valetta;both at home;seven sons;Dane;Irving;Edward;Frank;George and Eric;all at home and Cecil Jr.of Donora;his mother;Mrs.Mary Tartt Cummings of Donora;five grandchildren;two brothers;Clarence of Donora and Jessie of Washington;D.C.;a sister;Mrs.Roberta Frost of Donora. Services were held March 11 with burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Lena Helen Toia;46;of 402 Ferncliff Drive;Belle Vernon;died Feb.3 Surviving are her husband;Frank (Sam) Toia;one son;Alexander L.Toia;two sisters;Mrs.Bernard (Phyllis) Wasko and Mrs.Elizabeth Kinik;both of Belle Vernon;two brothers;John Tallerico of Belle Vernon and Frank Tallerico of Monessen;and three grandchildren. Services were held Feb.6 with burial in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
