Michael (Mike) Wenick;56;of Charleroi R.D.2;formerly of Brownsville;died suddenly on Saturday May 18;1968;at Eldred;Pa.;while on a fishing trip. He was born in Williamsburg;Pa.;June 15;1911;a son of John and Elsie Feck Wenick. He was a member of St.Nicholas Greek Catholic Church of Brownsville;and the Smithton Sportsmen’s Club;and was employed at the Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel Co. He was a veteran of World War II;serving in the Rhineland and Central Europe with the 88th Ordnance Heavy Maintenance Co. He is survived by his widow;Mary Turik Wenick;and the following brothers and sisters;Mrs.Elsie Hartzell of Elizabeth;John Jr.and Mary Wenick of Brownsville;and George Wenick of Belle Vernon;and several nieces and nephews.
