Fred Bowers;age 32;died at one o’clock Thursday afternoon;January 19;1933;in the Veterans hospital at Aspinwall;where he has been a patient for the past five years. He was a veteran of the World War and was a member of the American Legion at Belle Vernon;and also the Christian Church of that place. He graduated from the Monessen high school. Besides his widow;Mildred Bowers;a daughter;Betty;and a son;Fred Jr.;survives. Funeral services will be held from his late home;922 Knox avenue at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon with services following in the Christian Church at Belle Vernon at 2:30;and interment in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Minnie Elizabeth Bowers;aged 62 years;died yesterday morning;Friday;September 22;1932;at 4 o’clock at her home in Mt.Pleasant following a prolonged illness. The Bowers family resided in Speers for about twenty-six years and the deceased had a host of friends throughout this district. Mrs.Bowers is survived by her husband Charles C.Bowers;two daughters;Gladys at home and Mrs.Ruth Maple;of Pittsburgh;and two sisters;Mrs.Anna Grenier;of New castle and Mrs.Emma Kerr;of Pittsburgh. Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 9 o’clock in St.Josephs Catholic Church at Mt.Pleasant. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery about 11 o’clock.

Wanda;10 month old daughter of Mr.and Mrs.Russell Boyce;died on Monday morning;May 23;1932;at 10:15;of complications after an illness of only 5 days. Funeral services were held Tuesday;May 24;1932;at 2 o’clock. She is survived by her parents and three sisters. Interment was made in Belle Vernon cemetery.

Funeral services for Henry Brewer;who died Monday morning;will be held at the home;142 Fallowfield Avenue;Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev.Byron Mahan;pastor of the First Christian Church. Services will be private due to the serious illness of other members of the family. Mr Brewer is survived by his wife;Mrs. Lulu Brewer;three sisters;two brothers and the following children: Mrs. Roy Hilderbrand and Mrs. George Schaeffler of Brownsville;John Brewer of Hopwood;Pa.and Fred Brewer of Fayette City. An adopted daughter;Mrs. Carl Shallenberger of Columbus;Ohio;also survives.
