Rev. Howard S. Rodebaugh; 88; of Belle Vernon; Rostraver Township; died Sunday; May 12; 2002; in Greensburg Care Center; Hempfield Township. Born in Pricedale on Sept. 7; 1913; he was the son of the late John Hershel and Jennet Cowan Rodebaugh. Rev. Rodebaugh was a 1932 graduate of Monessen High School; a 1938 graduate of Moody Bible Institute; and 1947 graduate of Washington and Jefferson College. He was a pastor for 63 years; serving in Westmoreland; Greene; Allegheny and Washington counties in Pennsylvania and also Zanesville; Ohio. He taught school for 20 years in Rostraver and Belle Vernon Area School Districts. He is survived by his wife of 68 years; Edna Martha Fay Rodebaugh; one son; James Howard Rodebaugh and wife Jeanie of Belle Vernon; three daughters; Barbara Rodebaugh of Greensburg; Saundra R. Brown of Belle Vernon; and Martha L. Daumit and husband Dennis of Belle Vernon; three grandchildren; Jason H. Rodebaugh of Belle Vernon and fiance Heather Sickles; Michelle L. Brown of New York; N.Y.; and James R. Brown and wife Erin of U.S. Army; Fort Lewis; Wash.; one brother; Edward Rodebaugh of Monessen; one sister; Agnes Quinn of Belle Vernon; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by one brother; John; and one sister; Irene. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the JAMES C. STUMP FUNERAL HOME INC.; 580 Circle Drive; Sweeney Plan/Rostraver Township. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. James Siefried officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Salem Baptist Church.

Pvt.Nello Bandini;30;son of Mrs.Mary Bandini;Henry street;North Belle Vernon;an infantry soldier;was killed in action in Brittany;France on Tuesday;Sept.12;1944;according to a telegram from the War Department to his wife;Mrs.Mary Bandini;of Brownsville. Private Bandini entered the service March 26;1943;and went overseas four months ago. He is survived by his wife;Mrs.Mary Bandini;daughter;Barbara Ann who was born on Sunday;June 6;1943;his mother;two sisters;Mrs.Julia Toci;Belle Vernon;Mrs.Evelyn Mucci;Detroit;Mich.;four brothers;Pfc.Aldo at Camp Polk;La.;Second Class Seaman Reno;recently returned from overseas;now a patient in a California hospital;Bruno and Nate Bandini;at home. Before entering the service;the Belle Vernon soldier was employed at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel Company. His body arrived in Belle Vernon Wednesday morning;April 6;1949 and was taken to the Toner Funeral Home. Services will be held there Sunday;April 10;1949;at 2:30 o’clock;in charge of Rev.Herman Roney of Pittsburgh;former Navy Chaplain.
