Samuel R.Fox;aged 53 years;died at his late home in Speers Borough at 1:15 p.m.Saturday;February 7;1942;after a lingering illness. Friends are being received at the late home where funeral services will be held Tuesday;February 10;at 2 p.m.in charge of Rev.John Andree;of Belle Vernon. Seven months after the death of his brother;William J.Foulks;of North Charleroi;Hiram Henry Foulks;aged 54 years;of the same community and a well-known river man for many years;died Friday night;January 16;1942;at 11 o’clock in the United States Marine Hospital;Pittsburgh. He had been in failing health for about three years. Mr.Foulks resided at 317 Isabelle avenue in North Charleroi and was well known in this section. He was employed by the J.and L.Coal company as a member of the crew of the steamer Vulcan. He was born at Rostraver;Pa.;on February 22;1887;a son of Mrs.Hannah Foulks McCreary and the late John Foulks. Surviving are his 84-year-old mother;his wife;Mrs.Mae Gimbert Foulks; one son;Glenn Earl Foulks;at home;and one sister;Mrs.Samuel H.Gaskill of North Charleroi. Mr.Foulks was an employee of the Daily Independent a number of years ago. Friends are being received at the late home where funeral services will probably be held Monday afternoon;January 19;1942;at 2 o’clock. Clarence Brenton Faust;aged 58 years;died at his home in Gibsonton;Pa.;at 7:40 p.m. Monday;September 15;1941;after a brief illness. He was a former employee of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. His wife;Lillian;is deceased. The remains may be viewed at the late home where funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon;September 18;at 2 o’clock in charge of Rev.J.E.Fosnight of the Monessen Baptist Church. William J.Foulks;prominent North Charleroi resident for forty years and for twenty years an engineer at the Allenport plant of the Pittsburgh Steel company;died at the family residence;608 Fourth street;North Charleroi at 11 o’clock Saturday morning;June 14;1941. Mr.Foulks had been in failing health for a number of months but had exercised every effort to continue his activities until his condition became too grave. He was highly esteemed among his fellow workers and was one of the community’s best known residents. He held membership for many years in the First Christian church of Charleroi and fraternally was affiliated with Charleroi lodges Knights of Malta and Loyal Order of Moose. The deceased was born in Rostraver township;a son of Mrs.Hanna Lehew Foulks and John Foulks. His mother remarried after the death of his father and survives as Mrs.Hannah F.McCreary. She resides at her son’s residence in North Charleroi. Other survivors are his wife;Mrs.Lenora Phillips Foulks;one daughter;Miss Ruth Foulks of Stanford;Conn.;one son;Olen Foulks of Pittsburgh;one brother;Hiram H.Foulks of North Charleroi and one sister;Mrs.Samuel H.Gaskill;Sr.;of North Charleroi. Friends are being received at the home where funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon;June 17;at 2 o’clock followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
