Mrs.Ida M.Griffith;age 59;died at 1:59 Sunday morning;January 15;1930;at her late home;1041 Schoonmaker avenue following a two months illness from complications of diseases. Besides her husband;Ulysus G.Griffith;she is survived by the following children;Mrs.Hannah Miller;of Mortgantown;W.Va.;Mrs.Lucinda Fleming of Monessen;Mrs.Sarah Canuio of Everestville;W.Va.;Grant;Jr.;Joseph G.and Ruth;all of Monessen;also 21 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;and one sister;Mrs.Elizabeth Stewart of Monessen. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from the late home in charge of Rev.Coughanour of Belle Vernon and Rev.Elliott of Monessen. Interment will be made in the family plot at Belle Vernon.

James G.Green;one of the pioneer citizens of Belle Vernon;died Friday morning;March 1;1929;at his home on Market street at the advanced age of 77 years. Death resulted from a complication of ailments lasting over a period of five months. The gentleman was born in Belle Vernon and spent his entire life in that place. Surviving are his wife;two sons;John of Homer City;Harry of Belle Vernon and seven daughters;Mrs.Charles Kuhn;Mrs. Dino Carrini;Mrs.Albert Price;Ethel and Marjorie;all of Belle Vernon;Mrs.William Fisher of Lock Four and Mrs.Lewis Roberts of Webster. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Free Methodist Church in charge of Rev.R.S.Might;the pastor. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
