Mrs. Flora Etta (Jenion) Jennings of 535 Washington avenue;Charleroi;died in the Washington Hospital;Sunday;November 16;1952;at 4:45 p.m. Mrs.Jennings was born in Indiana County;Pa.;Saturday;March 22;1873;the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Landis Kimmel. She came to Charleroi sixty years ago from Butler. Preceded in death by her husband;John Jennings;who died March 23;1952;she is survived by two sons;Harper Jennings of Charleroi and Wilbur Jennings of Somerset. Friends will be received at the Shrock Funeral Home. Services will be held there Thursday;November 20;1952;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.Robert Laing. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. John Jenion (Jack Jennings);of 535 Washington Avenue;Charleroi;died at his home at 12:30 a.m.Sunday;March 23;1952. He was the son of the late Richard and Hannah Milson Jenion and was born in England Monday;April 3;1871. Mr.Jenion was pensioned by the Pittsburth Plate Glass Company after working for that firm for 50 years and was one of the oldest retired glass-workers in Charleroi. Surviving are his wife;Flora Ethel Kimmel Jenion;two sons Wilbur of Somerset;Harper at home;three brothers;Joseph of St.Petersburg;Fla.and Richard and George;both of North Charleroi;and two sisters;Mrs.Hannah Johns;Donora and Mrs.Lillian Barnett;North Charleroi. Mr.and Mrs.Jenion held the distinction of having been the first couple married in Charleroi. They were united in marriage by Justice of the Peace Theodore Allen on Sept.16;1891. Friends will be received at the Schrock Funeral Home. Services will be held there Wednesday;March 26;1952;at 2 p.m.;in charge if Rev.Joseph N.Wittkofski. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold L.Schrock is the funeral director.
