The third death as a result of the wild ride down the mountain side above Uniontown;Sunday;July 25;1920;ocurred yesterday afternoon;Monday;July 26;1920;when Carmine Mitchell;aged 49;died of a fractured skull at the Uniontown hospital. Mitchell was formerly proprietor of the Hotel Province at North Belle Vernon. His body will be brought to Belle Vernon today for burial. The bodies of the two other men;John Nuzzo and Guiddo Lettori;both of whom died an hour after being admitted to the hospital;arrived in Belle Vernon yesterday afternoon. Carrie Mitchell;daughter of Carmine Mitchell;who was a member of the party;is lying in a ctitical condition at her home in Belle vernon;suffering from injuries she received when she was thrown from the machine;while Baptisto Briatico;slightly injured;was placed under arrest;charged with reckless driving;but released early yesterday morning under $3;000 bail. The party;traveling in two autos;left early Sunday morning and after enjoying their lunch in the mountains were on the homeward journey when one of the drivers;Baptisto Bristico attempted to pass the other car driven by Carmine Mitchell. As the machines ran abreast the rear wheels touched and the machine driven be Bristico rolled over an embankment;while the other turned over on the road. Carmine Mitchell;aged 49 received a fractured skull;while his daughter;Carrie Mitchell;aged 18;is suffering from lacerations and bruises. The Mitchell girl and a girl companion were brought to their homes in Belle Vernon last night.
