Mabel E.Lessman;79;of North Charleroi;died Tuesday;May 8;2001;in Mon Valley Hospital. She was born May 3;1922;in Belle Vernon;a daughter of the late George W.Kistler Sr.and Mary E.Gregg Kistler. She was Protestant by faith. Survivors include four sons;Curtis Lessman of Charleroi;Wayne Lessman of Monongahela;Douglas Lessman of Charleroi and Richard Lessman of Charleroi;one daughter;Dorothy Shrum of Warren;Ohio;one brother;James Kistler and wife;Emma Lou;of Coal Center;and two sisters;Evelyn Federer of Charleroi and Wilma Scullion of Charleroi;nine grandchildren;10 great-grandchildren;a sister-in-law;Esther Kistler of North Charleroi;and her devoted niece;Rebecca Scullion Tabron of Charleroi. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Jack C.Lessman;one granddaughter;Tammy A.Lessman;two brothers;George W.Kistler Jr and Arthur J.Taylor;and a sister;Laura Boyce. There will be no visitation. Services will be held at the Belle Vernon Cemetery Chapel on Friday May 11;2001 at noon with the Rev.Stanley Ott officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the CARL J.SPALLINO FUNERAL HOME;Charleroi.

Eugene O.Steward;53;of Donora;died Monday;April 30;2001. He was born March 7;1948;a son of the late Hubert and Jannie Lee Steward Johnson. Mr.Steward was employed at Bethlehem Mines in Eighty-Four. He was a member of St.Paul Baptist Church in Donora. He was previously married to Susan D.Steward;who survives. He is also survived by a son;Elgene O.Steward of Monongahela;four brothers;Dwight Steward of Anchorage;Alaska;Daryl Johnson of Washington;Pa.;Israel Johnson of Donora and Hubert Brooks of Donora;four sisters;Hope Betty of Jacksonville;N.C.;Cinamon Johnson of Donora;Lorraine Hicks of Columbus;Ohio;and Linsey Allen of Pittsburgh;two grandchildren;and a host of nieces;nephews;relatives and friends. Belle Vernon; a sister; Charmaine Nole of Perryopolis; and
four grandchildren. In addition
to her parents; she was preceded in death by two nephews;
Mark Steele and Eric Nole. Visitations will be held Saturday; 7
