Mrs.Myrtle Nelson;nee Harvey;age 64 years;widow of William A.Nelson;died suddenly at her home in Tampa;Florida;Sunday;November 23;1952. She was the daughter of Thomas W.Harvey. Mrs. Nelson was a former resident of Belle Vernon;and while living there was an active member of the First Baptist Church;where she was a charter member of the Edna Malston Sunday School Class. She was also a member of several lodges in Belle Vernon;and with her husband;who was employed for many years with the West Penn Power Company;was well known in this district. They left Belle Vernon a number of years ago to go South due to Mr.Nelson’s helth;and Mrs.Nelson’s last visit to Belle Vernon was this past summer;when she spent several weeks here. Preceded in death by her husband;who passed away two years ago;Mrs.Nelson is survived by three brothers;Price Harvey of Greensboro;Pa.;Albert Harvey of Belle Vernon and Charles Harvey of Monessen;and one sister;Mrs.Ada Grant of Belle Vernon. The body will arrive in Belle Vernon late Thursday afternoon;and friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home after six o’clock that evening. Services will be held there Saturday;November 29;1952;at 2 p.m.;in charge of Rev.J.C.Puz;pastor of the Belle Vernon Baptist church. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon cemetery. Marshall Nozier of 719 Monongahela avenue;North Charleroi;died in the McKeesport hospital;October 27;1952;at 2:30 p.m. Mr.Nozier was born in Meyersville;Pa.;October 6;1897;the son of John and Eugenia Roux Nosier. He had been a resident here since childhood;and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He was employed in the finishing department at Allenport plant of Pittsburgh Steel company. He was a veteran of World War One;and was a member of the American Legion Post 22;Charleroi. He is survived by his wife;Catherine Rennie Nozier;four sisters;Mrs.Mary Yates of Charleroi;Mrs.Martha Gatalica;Charleroi;Ms.Blanche Minaudo and Mrs.Marie Paxton of Detroit;Michigan. Friends will be received at the late home. Serives will be held there Friday;October 31;1952;at 2 p.m. in charge of Rev.Meade A.Rugh. Peter V.Nemec;Jr.;of Fort Lauderdale;Florida;formerly of Charleroi;died Monday March 10;1952;as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in New Eagle;July 24;1927;the son of Peter and Stephanie Hribar Nemec. He attended Charleroi schools;and in Fort Lauderdale;he managed a highway theatre. He is survived by his wife;Jean Woods Nemec;his parents;Mr.and Mrs.Peter Nemec;Sr.;of Charleroi;one brother;Richard of Charleoi. He was a veteran of World War Two;having served in the Navy;and had been living in Florida for two years. The body is scheduled to arrive at the Slezak Funeral Home Wednesday;March 12;1952;and friends will be received there after tomorrow morning. Requiem High Mass will be sung in St.Jerome’s Church Friday;March 14;1952;at 9 a.m.by Rev.James McKeever;and military rites will be conducted by Charleroi American Legion Post 22.
