James T.Thomas;aged 78 years;died Friday;June 25;1943;at 4:30 a.m.in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital;following a brief illness. Mr.Thomas came here two weeks ago from Philadelphia;where he resides with a son Hibbert Thomas;to visit with a daughter;Mrs.Sam Vogan at her home on Schoonmaker avenue. He was taken ill several days ago and removed to the hospital. Surviving are six children;Hibbert Thomas of Philadelphia;Mrs.Sam Vogan of Monessen;Earl Thomas;U.S.Army;stationed at New Orleans;La.;Raymond and James Thomas of Punxsutawney;and Mrs.William John of Shenandoah. A sister and brother;Mrs.R.Kinsley and David Thomas;both of Shamokin;also survive. Friends are being received at the Woodward Home for Funerals where services will be held Monday afternoon;June 28 at 2 o’clock. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Anthony Trozzo;aged 21 years;died at Cresson;Saturday;January 30;1943;following a lingering illness. He resided at 317 Market street;Belle Vernon. The deceased was educated in the Belle Vernon grammer and high schools. He was a member of St.Sebastian Church. His parents;Mr.and Mrs. Dominic Trozzo;survive him;as do three sisters;Mrs.Salvatore Muoio of New York City;Mrs.Emil DeMarco of Belle Vernon;and Rose at home;a brother;Sgt.James Trozzo;with the Army in Louisiana. Friends will be received at the Melenyzer Funeral Home in Belle Vernon until time for services in St.Sebastian Church Wednesday morning;February 3;1943 at 10 o’clock. Mrs.Carolina M.Tesi;aged 71 years;wife of the late Joseph Tesi;died at her late home in 801 Grant street;Belle Vernon;at 9:01 p.m.yesterday;January 10;1941 following a prolonged illness due to a heart ailment. Mrs.Tesi was born in Italy on December 11;1869. Her husband died eight years ago. The family is well-known in Belle Vernon and vicinity. Surviving are two daughters;Miss Lena Tesi at home and Mrs.Charles Gennaula;of Charleroi;two sons;Guido Tesi at home and Frank Tesi;of Pittsburgh;and four grandchildren;Raymond and Valerie Tesi of Belle Vernon;Carol Ann Tesi of Pittsburgh and Charles Paul Gennaula of Charleroi. Friends are being received at the late home until time for services Monday mornng;January 14;at ten o’clock in St.Sebastian Church;Belle Vernon.
