Joseph Warbutton;aged 29;of 1608 Walnut street;Monessen;a son of Mr.and Mrs.John Warbutton;of Walnut street;died Christmas morning;December 25;1930;at 12:30 in the Washingtron hospital;sucumbing to injuries received Thursday;December 11;1930. In company of a brother;Robert Warbutton;the two young men were enroute to Washington on that date;and at a point near Scenery Hill;the car left the road and overturned. Joseph was pinned beneath the machine and was released with difficulty. He was removed to the Washington hospital;where it was found he had suffered a fracture of the pelvis;a broken leg and other injuries aside from the shock. Robert Warbutton was only slightly injured and was released after treatment. The two were admitted to the hospital at 3:30 p.m. Surviving are his wife;his parents;six brothers and three sisters. Funeral services will be held from the home;1608 Walnut street;Sunday afternoon;December 28;1930;at 2:30 o’clock;conducted by Rev.H.J.Clover;pastor of the Trinity Episcopal Church;assisted by Rev. S. M. Snear;pastor of the Christian Church of Belle Vernon. Interment will be made in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

Mrs.Virginia Duke West;age 77;died at 6:30 o’clock;Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter;Mrs.L.B.Mattis on Grant street. Death was due to complications;the deceased having been ill for some time. She is the widow of John C.West;who died in 1928 and besides her daughter;Mrs.Mattis;is survived by another daughter;Mrs.Thomas Stitt and a son V.Wayne West;both of Belle Vernon;also seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held from her late residence on Grant street;Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock with the services in charge of Rev.Walter McCullough of the First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon. Interment will be made in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
