Mrs.George Gibson;of Belle Vernon died at 10:30 last night;Dec.15;1913;at her home;after long suffering from cancer of the stomach. Deceased for quite a time had been in the Charleroi-Monessen hospital and had failed rapidly during the past two weeks. She was taken home Saturday and suffered indescribably until death relieved her. Deceased was a sister of Mrs.James Curry and a cousin of Ewing and Robert Hileman;all of Monessen. She is survived by the husband;George Gibson;and a son;Robert. She was 33 years of age;a daughter of Mr.and Mrs. James Henry Hileman of Roscoe. The funeral will occur Thursday at 2 o’clock;the services to be conducted at the home.

Kenneth D. Von Bergen; 68; of Monessen; formerly of Warren; Ohio; on Thursday; June 12; 2003; died unexpectedly. Beloved husband of Lois A. Von Bergen; loving father of Ken; Bruce; Lori and Brian; loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brother of Godfrey and Eleanor. Ken was a 1951 graduate of Monessen High School. He also served as a marine in the Korean War; where he received the Marine Corp Medal for Heroism. Mr. Von Bergen worked as a machinist for American Welding in Warren; Ohio; for 35 years. He was a member of the Croatian Club in Monessen. Ken loved to spend the winter months in St. Petersburg; Fla. Ken was beloved by his wife of 46 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Calling Hours at Robert A. Billick Funeral Home Inc.; Grand Boulevard and Marion Ave.; Monessen; Sunday; June 15; 2003 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday; June 16; 2003 at 10 a.m. also at Billick Funeral Home in Monessen. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
