Stella Sands; 92; of Naomi; Fayette City; died Monday; June 16; 2003; in Mon Valley Care Center. She was born Aug. 12; 1910; in Coal Center; a daughter of the late John and Budaiski Daniels. Mrs. Sands was preceded in death by her husband; Leo Sands; on April 3; 1969. Surviving are three daughters; Shirley Conte of Charleroi; Sandra Ambrose and husband Raymond of Belle Vernon; and Dorothy Sands of Fayette City; one brother; Frank Doc Daniels of Fayette City; one sister; Emily Granlund of Belle Vernon; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Laura Ann Basits Aiello; 43; of Pittsburgh; died Friday; June 13; 2003; at 1:39 a.m. in Jefferson Regional Health System; Jefferson Borough. Born Feb. 12; 1960; in North Charleroi; she was the daughter of Alex F. Jr. and Mary Ann Fryske Basits; who survive and reside in Washington Township. She was Catholic by faith and attended Belle Vernon Area High School. In addition to her parents; she is survived by three sons; Shayne; Patrick and John; one brother; Lex Basits of Portland; Ore.; one sister; Susan Basits of Pittsburgh; and her maternal grandmother; Helen Fryske. Prayer services were held this morning at 11:30 a.m. in the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon (724-929-6183); followed by a Funeral Mass at noon in St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon with the Rev.
