Mildred Tomasso Stringhill; 93; of Donora; formerly of Belle Vernon; died Friday; Nov. 28; 2003; at 1:15 a.m. at Kenric Manor; Donora. Born Nov. 4; 1910; in Pittsburgh; she was a daughter of the late Donato and Carmela Malgeri Tomasso. Mrs. Stringhill was a life-long resident of Belle Vernon; a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon; and she was the owner/operator of the former New Deal Tavern in North Belle Vernon until 1972. Mrs. Stringhill also was a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas; Court 1522; the former Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 Ladies Auxiliary and the Legion of Mary; St. Sebastian Church. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Carmella and William Janeri of Lancaster; Ohio; one brother; Cazmear Thompson of Florida; two sisters; Anna McCune of Niagara Falls; N.Y.; and Marie Perry of Donora; three grandchildren; Lori Watts and husband Gary; John Janeri and wife Jean and J. Major George W. Turner; 74; of Monessen; died Saturday; Nov. 22; 2003; in Pittsburgh. He was born Feb. 22; 1929; in Clairton; a son of the late Johnnie Sr. and Ida George Turner. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army; serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Turner was retired as a railroad conductor from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. Robert Stark III; 79; of Monessen; died Friday; Nov. 21; 2003; in Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. He was born Oct. 25; 1924; in Roscoe; a son of the late Robert and Margaret Kipp Stark. He was a life long resident of the Mon Valley area and a 1943 graduate of Charleroi High School. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church in Monessen; and a member of the United Steelworkers of America Local 1187. He retired in 1988 with 44 years of service from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation; Allenport Plant; having worked in the sheet scheduling department. Mr. Stark also managed several area country clubs and bartended at the former Twin Coaches. He is survived by his wife of 53 years; Jean Dodaro Stark; a son and daughter-in-law; Robert J. and Cathy Stark; of Monessen; two grandsons; Jonathan and Brandon Stark of Monessen; a brother-in-law; J. Pat Dodaro; and a sister-in-law; Evelyn Kowell; both of Monessen; and by a niece; Paula Kowell; of Monessen. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by a sister; Caroline Bastin. Donald Joseph Dolnack; 60; of Herndon; Va.; died Thursday; Nov. 20; 2003; in his residence following a declining illness. He was born in Pittsburgh on Nov. 8; 1943; a son of the late Joseph Dolnack and Agnes Opett Dolnack; who survives and resides in Donora. He retired with 38 years of services as a computer analyst for the U.S. Geological Society. He was a member of St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church of Herndon; Va. Mr. Dolnack was very active with the Boy Scouts of America; serving as assistant scout master; merit badge counselor; committee chairman and adult leadership training. He was also a member of the M.G. Card Club. Besides his father; he was preceded in death by two sons; David and Stephen. Camillo J. Cam Fantini; 90; of Charleroi; died Wednesday; Oct. 15; 2003; in Jefferson Hospital. He was born Sept. 15; 1913; in Pennadomo; Italy; the son of the late Nicola and Marianina DiGravio Fantini. He was a member of Mary; Mother of the Church Parish of Charleroi. Mr. Fantini was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II; receiving the Purple Heart for wounds suffered during the Battle of the Bulge. He was retired from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Allenport Plant; and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving are three children; Amy Fantini Solobay of Canonsburg; John R. Fantini of Valencia and Rose Fantini Nega of Charleroi; two sisters; Rose Gaggini and Julia Sefchok; both of Belle Vernon; six grandchildren; Jeffrey; Jason; Joshua and Jonathon Fantini and Allison and Katherine Nega; and one great-grandson; Riley Camillo Fantini.
