ORA JEAN ROUSSEAU
Ora Jean Rousseau; age 82; of Mount Vernon passed away Monday; November 12; 2012 at the Emeritus at HillenVale.
Ms. Rousseau was born March 5; 1930 in Belle Vernon; PA to the late Harry N. and Rose H. (Wehry) Rousseau; and had lived in Mount Vernon since 1950. She was a former music teacher having taught in Licking; Knox; Morrow and Coshocton Counties for thirty and a half years. She was a graduate of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh and did graduate work at The Ohio State University.
She was a life member of the Ohio and Knox County Retired Teachers’ Associations. She was a member of Business and Professional Women’s Club; American Association of University Women; College Women’s Club; Beethoven Club; American Theatre Organ Society; and the Virgil Fox Society. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church since 1950.
Ms. Rousseau is survived by her brother William “Bill” Rousseau of Mount Vernon; four nieces; Pamela (Dr. Charles) Katzenberg of Tucson; AZ; Deborah Brown of Mount Vernon; Sandra Daubenmier of Mount Vernon; Kimberly (Joseph) Pointer of Streetsboro; Ohio; her nephew Gregory (Vicky) Rousseau of Morgantown; WV; five great nieces; six great nephews; three great-great nieces and three great-great nephews.
Friends may call on Thursday; November 15; 2012 from 2 – 4 PM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Friday; at Belle Vernon Cemetery in Pennsylvania; beginning at 12 PM.

Doris Bush;79 formerly of Pricedale; went home to be with her Lord on Friday; April 25; 2008; in the home of her daughter; Carol Carson of Charleroi. Doris; the daughter of the late Jackson and Mary Echart; was born in Fairchance; on January 3; 1929. She was a lifelong member of the Pricedale Union Church; where she worshipped and served faithfully. She will be greatly remembered for her dedication as a teacher; deacon; treasurer; janitor; and member of the Climbers Class and Bereavement Group; to name a few. In 2005; Doris was honored for her 45 years as Missionary Society President; when she retired from that position. Her family will be forever thankful for the legacy she left in her faith in Jesus Christ; in her love of God’s Word and in the sacrifice she always made for those she loved. “Her children will rise up and called her blessed” Proverbs 31:28a. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law; Cliff and Linda Bush of Meadville; Don and Robin Bush of Elizabethtown; two daughters and sons-in-law; Marianne and Ron Fye of Elizabethtown; and Carol and Dave Carson of Charleroi; one brother; Clarence Echart and three sisters-in-law; Ethel; Erma and Arlene Echart; ten grandchildren; Brian Fye and his wife Laura; Allison Heide and her husband Kevin; Ben Fye; Tim Bush and future wife; Katherine; Stephanie Foltz and her husband Joseph; Jon and Josh Bush; and Heather; Zach and Caleb Carson. Four great-grandchildren; Tiffany and Alex Foltz; Gabriel Heide and Jazmine Avila. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband; Clifford Bush on October 24; 2001; three brothers; Charles; Raymond; and Jim Echart and a dear cousin; Gwen Wood. From Revelations: God hath not promised skies always blue; flower-strewn pathways all our lives through; God hath not promised sun without rain; joy without sorrow; peace without pain. But God hath promised strength for the day; rest for the labor; light for the way grace for the trials; help from above; unfailing sympathy; undying love … And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. Revelation 21:4 Friends will be received from 7 to 9 P.M. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Monday in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory; Inc.
