Doris Bauer Frost; 96; passed away peacefully Thursday; March 1; 2012; at her home in Dawson. Born March 19; 1915; she was the daughter of the late Robert B. and Margaret (Morgan) Bauer. Mrs. Frost graduated from Belle Vernon High School in 1934. She was the valedictorian of her senior class. During World War II; Mrs. Frost was employed as a timekeeper in a bomber factory in Fort Worth; Texas. She retired after many years of service as controller of Jamestown College in Jamestown; N.D. She was a member of Phillip G. Cochran Memorial United Methodist Church; in Dawson. She was an avid reader and faithful Pittsburgh Pirates fan. She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years; Robert W. Frost; and brothers; Earnest Bauer and William Bauer. Aunt Doe is survived by her sisters; Margaret M. McCoy and Betty Husband; brother; Robert B. Bauer Jr.; nieces; Peggy Husband Cochran and Mary Ann Bauer; nephews; Richard Husband and Thomas Bauer; and many great-nieces and nephews; all who loved her dearly. Friends will be received from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the RALPH E. GALLEY FUNERAL HOME. Prayer service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home followed by services at 11 a.m. at Phillip G. Cochran Memorial United Methodist Church; in Dawson; with the Rev. David A. Bell officiating. Interment will be at the Belle Vernon Cemetery.

BENJAMIN H. CRAWFORD III
Benjamin H. Crawford III; 70; formerly of Monessen; died Monday; Sept. 10; 2012. He was born Oct. 8; 1941; in Charleroi; a son of the late Benjamin H. and Jean (Boord) Crawford II. He was previously employed by U.S. Steel; Irvin Works. He is survived by four children; Benjamin R. (Amber) Crawford of Belle Vernon; Wayne E. (Carlene) Crawford of Perryopolis; Kim Brundage and Bruce Biagini of Belle Vernon; and Shelley Samoda of Belle Vernon; 12 grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the J. WILLIAM McCAULEY JR. FUNERAL HOME INC.; 901 Vine St.; West Newton. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
