Obituary

Negley “Ted” Rodgers Jr., 91, of Belle Vernon, Washington Township, passed away Thurs day, June 4, 2026, in his daught e r ’ s home sur rounded by family. Born Nov. 8, 1934, in North Charleroi, he was the son of the late Negley and Hildegarde Byrnes Rodgers. Ted grew up in Belle Vernon, moved to Washington for 15 years, then returned home to Belle Vernon. Mr. Rodgers was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church and was a retired senior welding instructor for Columbia Gas. He was a past member of the Charleroi Knights of Columbus, Fayette City-Washington Township Lions Club, Charleroi Elks Club and Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge 354. He loved to go camping and fishing. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Negley “Ted” Rodgers III and wife Ruth Ann of Belle Vernon; two daughters and sons-inlaw, Nadine Davis-Manetta and husband Vincent of Belle Vernon, and Beth Ann and Edward Pazo Jr. of Jefferson Hills; pet dog, Maha; eight grandchildren, Blair Rodgers, Negley Rodgers IV, Lauren Sullivan, Shane Davis, Ryan Davis, Abbey Davis, Alexandra Pazo and Edward Pazo III; five great-grandchildren, Negley Rodgers V, Riley Rodgers, Peter Sullivan, Elliot Davis and Jack Sullivan; and a great-grandson on the way. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Pozum Rodgers; brother, Nelson Rodgers; two sisters, Donna Ambrose and Ruth Ann Novisel; and sonin- law, Kim Davis. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS LLC, family owned and operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183. Prayers of Transfer will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the funeral home followed by funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Sebastian R.C. Church with the Rev. Michael Thomas as celebrant.
