Joann Jones, 87, of Concordia Cabot, Pa., passed away on May 13, 2026, in Ukiah, Calif. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Elenore LaRew. She was an educator who enjoyed helping others learn to read. She taught at Rostraver Junior High School in Belle Vernon School District, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed reading and doing jigsaw puzzles in her spare time. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence E. Patterson; her second husband, Vencen Jones; a daughter, Cathy Mancini; a son, Mark Patterson; a grandson, George Gereshenski; and great-granddaughters, Diem and Carly. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia (Edwin) Klemm of Ukiah, Calif.; sisters, Eddie Luciani of Charleroi, Darla Crowl of Elwood City, Pa., and Linda Johnson of Edinburg, Pa.; brother, Russel LaRew of Marianna Pa.; five grandchildren, Justin Vernet, Joshua Gereshenski, Bethann Gereshenski, Staisha Gereshenski and Michael Mancine; and 13 great-grandchildren. Family will gather at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Belle Vernon Cemetery.
