Georganne C. Konkol, 88, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2026 at Hallsworth House. A daughter of the late Harold George and Thelma (Ludwig) Lutton, she born on March 18, 1938 in McKees Rocks.
A resident of Belle Vernon for 70 years, Georganne worked for the former Fox Grocery Company, retiring after 20 years. She was a member of TOPS and a former walking mother and seamstress for the Martinettes. She was a great cook, loved camping, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by four daughters and sons in-law, Denice and Leroy Weaver of Mechanicsville, VA, Lynne and Keith Hildenbrand of West Newton, Jeanine and Jeff Gillen of Rostraver, and Kelley and Stan Zimcosky of Smock; ten grandchildren, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Weaver, Jennifer (Tommy) Van Dusen, Colin Hildenbrand, Kate Gillen (Dustin Gabler), Adam Gillen, Kelsey (Jason) Renner, John Paul (Audrey) Zimcosky, Emily (Grant) Hundley, Sophie (Ajay) Haines, and Juliann Zimcosky, ten great grandchildren, three great, great grandchildren; and her sister, Ellen Fertall of Smithfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Vance A. Konkol on December 23, 2017; three sisters, Betty Allinder, Jana Bomboris, and Carol Campbell, and a brother, Jimmy Lutton.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 8, 2026 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 6 to 8 P.M. in the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
