Obituary

Diane A. Trenk, 83, of Belle Vernon, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at Penn Highlands Mon Valley. A daughter of the late William and Ethel (Martin) Cavanaugh, she was born in North Charleroi on May 5, 1943.

Diane had been employed in the safety office of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Company in Allenport for over 20 years, retiring in 2010.

She is survived by a son and daughter in-law, George A. and Lisa Trenk, Jr. of Monessen and three grandchildren, Daniel Trenk Jr., Leanna Trenk, and Madison Trenk. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Trenk, Sr. in 2003, a son, Daniel Trenk, Sr. in 2021, and a sister, Maureen Backos in 1980.

There will be no public services. Inurnment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Ferguson Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 700 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon. 724-929-5300. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com.
