Linda L. Smith, 71, of Belle Vernon, went home to the Lord Monday, October 29, 2018, while in Hawaii which was to celebrate her 50th wedding anniversary. Daughter of the late Eugene R. and Mercy V. Braddock Green, she was born in N. Charleroi on May 23, 1947. Linda was an active member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene where she loved attending church and Sunday school; she also served as secretary / treasurer. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon, Linda’s family and friends were the most important things to her. She was diligent in sending birthday cards to all of her nieces and nephews and treasured time with her cousins and friends at dinner outings. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Vernon C. Smith; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Vernon and Stacey Smith of Charleroi and David (Paula Steinhauser) Smith of Monongahela; one brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Marianne Green of Pittsburgh; her mother-in-law, Margaret E. Smith of Charleroi; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Veretta and Mike Garrow of Charleroi and Jack and Dorae Smith of Victory Hill; four grandchildren, Justin Smith, Tanner Smith, Hailey Smith and Elena Smith; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends, all of whom she loved dearly.
