Vivian E. Grant Lewis, 95, of Uniontown, formerly of Republic, passed away Monday, December 4, 2023 at Mt. Macrina Manor, Uniontown. Born December 25, 1927 in Gillespie, PA she was the daughter of the late Wilbert U. and Bertha M. Sickles Grant. A resident of Uniontown for the past 20 years, Mrs. Lewis was a member of Community Of Christ, Fayette City, was a wedding photographer for over 20 years and retiring at the age of 80 made hundreds of Afghans for family and friends and taught ceramics.
She is survived by son Dennis A. Johnson & husband Ron A. Coleman of Pittsburgh; daughter & son in law Kathleen L. & George R. Milne of Uniontown, daughter in law Penny Johnson; five grandchildren Richard Milne & Tomaka, Susan & Kevin Fleming, Elizabeth Collins, Ronald & Gina Milne, Andrew Johnson, former granddaughter in law Jennifer Milne; eight great grandchildren Tyler & fiancé Val, Cameron, Vanessa, Jaelyn, Mackenzie, Aaron, Delaney, Gia and numerous cousins who named her Queen Bee of the Grant family for being the only Grant that lived so long. She is preceded in death by her husband John R. Lewis; four brothers Thomas Morgan, Wilbert Grant, Raymond Grant, Donald Grant and a sister Elizabeth Hough.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations LLC, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Avenue, Belle Vernon 724-929-6183. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 AM in the funeral home with Elder Tom Hamer and Elder John Spilsbury of the Community Of Christ, Fayette City officiating. Interment will take place in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Mt. Macrina Manor and Amedysis Hospice for their loving care and support given to Vivian.
