Rev.C.Morris of 942 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Oct.26;1977;at 7:20 p.m.in Washington Hospital following a short illness. He was 89. Rev.Morris was born July 14;1888 in Farley;Ala.;a son of the late Henry and Lou Lynn Morris. He had lived in the Belle Vernon vicinity since 1927 and was pastor of the Antioch Baptist Church from 1952 until his retirement on Sept.26;1976. Rev.Morris had served in the ministry for 50 years at different churches in Blythedale;Gallatin and Fitz Henry. He was a member of the Twin Lodge F & AM;No.67;Pricedale. Survivors include his widow;Mrs.Edna Morris;three daughters;Mrs.Albert (Mary) Rodgers and Mrs. Bernice Smith;both of Pittsburgh;and Mrs.Henry (Bonnie) Minters of Handley;W.Va.;two sons;Rev.Milton Morris of Pittsburgh and John Morris of Augusta;Ga.;four stepdaughters;Mrs.Ellis (Dorothy) Caldwell of McKeesport;Mrs.Leverne (Marguerite) Robinson of Buffalo;N.Y.;Mrs.Kenneth (Lois) Mischal of Shaker Heights;Ohio;Mrs.Wallace (Elva) McKinney of Warrensville Heights;Ohio;one stepson;Donald Corban of Chicago;Ill.;two sisters;Mrs.Lucy Elliott of Huntsville;Ala.;and Mrs.Laura Lacy of Youngstown;Ohio;25 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Beverly C.Draper Funeral Home;608 Sixth St.;Monessen;from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Saturday and in the Antioch Baptist Church from 2 to 9 p.m.Sunday. Services will be held in the church on Monday;Oct.31;at 11 a.m.with Rev.Nathaniel Wielfield giving the eulogy. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Masonic services will be held in the church on Sunday at 8 p.m.
