Obituary

A 25 year old Belle Vernon man was fatally injured Friday night,Oct.12,1956,when the car he was driving ran off the road,went over an embankment and smashed into a tree.  Earl C.Richter of 1035 Broad Avenue,Belle Vernon,died of a broken neck about 8:15 p.m.  Mr.Richter was employed as a caretaker at Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Survivors are his wife,Sally Ann Lambert Richter,his parents,Mr.and Mrs.David Richter of Perryopolis R.D.,four brothers,William Taylor,Wilde and Carl at home,and Dave Jr.of Elizabeth R.D.,four sisters,Betty Muirhead and Violet Hoffman of Perryopolis R.D.,Audrey at home,and Mildred Anderson,also of Perryopolis,R.D.  Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home.  Services will be held there Monday,October 15,1956,at 4 p.m.,in charge of Rev.George Clarke.  Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
