A 25 year old Belle Vernon man was fatally injured Friday night;Oct.12;1956;when the car he was driving ran off the road;went over an embankment and smashed into a tree. Earl C.Richter of 1035 Broad Avenue;Belle Vernon;died of a broken neck about 8:15 p.m. Mr.Richter was employed as a caretaker at Belle Vernon Cemetery. Survivors are his wife;Sally Ann Lambert Richter;his parents;Mr.and Mrs.David Richter of Perryopolis R.D.;four brothers;William Taylor;Wilde and Carl at home;and Dave Jr.of Elizabeth R.D.;four sisters;Betty Muirhead and Violet Hoffman of Perryopolis R.D.;Audrey at home;and Mildred Anderson;also of Perryopolis;R.D. Friends will be received at the Toner Funeral Home. Services will be held there Monday;October 15;1956;at 4 p.m.;in charge of Rev.George Clarke. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Harold R.Toner is the funeral director.
