Obituary

A former Belle Vernon woman,Wilma Jean Venneri Dudgeon,was fatally injured in an auto accident Saturday morning,January 15,1972,in Warren,Ohio. Mrs.Dudgeon,22,is the daughter of Mr.and Mrs.William N.Venneri of Belle Vernon.Venneri is a former Belle Vernon Borugh mayor and presently a councilman. She was dead on arrival Saturday morning at 2:15 a.m.in Trumbull Memorial Hospital,Warren,following the crash. She was in a car with two girl companions,both of whom were seriously injured. The girls were working companions at the Anchor Transportation Corp.at Lordstown,Ohio. Mrs.Dudgeon was born Feb. 11,1949 and was a graduate of the Class of 1967 of Belle Vernon Area High School. She had worked as a teller in the Belle Vernon branch of Western Pennsylvania National Bank. Surviving are a daughter,Michele Renee,at home,her parents,brothers,William Jr.,at home and Arthur Baumgardner of Detroit and a sister,Vickie,at home. Also surviving are her paternal grandparents,Mr.and Mrs.Charles Venneri of Belle Vernon and maternal grandparents,Mr.and Mrs.Harry Sethman Sr.of Elks Place,Belle Vernon. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m.Sunday. Services will be held at 10 a.m.Tuesday from the funeral home with Msgr.Martin J.O'Toole,pastor of St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
