Obituary

Wilma J. Brandon, 62, of Beaverton, Mich., passed away Thursday, June 4, 2009, in her home. A daughter of Betty Harger Swaney, who survives and resides in Beaverton, and the late William Swaney, she was born in Belle Vernon on Sept. 20, 1946. Formerly of Belle Vernon, she had resided in Michigan for the past 43 years. Wilma was the senior deputy clerk for the Washtenaw County 14th District Court until her retirement in 1997. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include her husband, John Tom Brandon, one daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Paul Conrad, of Flatrock, Mich., one son and daughter-in-law, John Thomas Jr. and Annette Brandon, of Newport, Mich., one sister, Carol Wolford, of Monessen, four grandchildren, Sarah Conrad, Michelle Ward, Josh Gee and his wife Brandee and Shannon Gee, and two great- grandchildren, David and John Gee. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., (724) 929-5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. www.fergusonfuneralhomeandcrematory.com. Funeral services will be in the funeral home at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with Pastor Jeffrey Anthony officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
