Wilma H.Shaffer;86;of 300 First Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Oct.24;1993;at 11:15 a.m. in Jefferson Center Hospital. She was born in Everett July 16;1907;a daughter of the late Jacob Hartzell and Carrie Shaffer Foor. Mrs.Shaffer was a member of Lynnwood Lutheran Church;where she taught Sunday School for many years. She has been a resident of Belle Vernon since 1940. She is survived by a son;Robert Shaffer of Philadelphia;three granddaughters;Beverly Brashear of Belle Vernon;Linda Shaffer of Belle Vernon and Lisa Harshman of Austin;Texas;four great-grandchildren;Mrs.Barry (Robin) E.Youger with whom she made her home;Kelly Joe Brashear;Cayce Harshman and Nica Harshman;and three great-great-grandchildren;Mike and Joe Slavik and Bobby Brashear. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Vearl Shaffer;Dec.8;1989;and a son;Calvin Shaffer in 1967. Friends will be received at the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;;Belle Vernon;Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Robert C.Hawk officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
