Obituary

Private graveside services and interment were held today in Belle Vernon Cemetery for Wilma Esther Harvey, 93, of Belle Vernon, who died Thursday, Nov. 15, 2007, in Mon Valley Hospital. A daughter of the late Thomas and Lu Lu Hepple, she was born in Pricedale (Rostraver Township) on July 15, 1914. Wilma was a long-time member of The Salvation Army in Monessen and the Ladies Home League. She had worked several years at the former Charleroi-Monessen Hospital as a nurse's aide for babies. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Wilford and Lucille Harvey, of Rostraver Township, and William and Josephine Harvey, of Ruffsdale, three daughters and two sons-in-law, Pearl and Ed Lyons, of North Belle Vernon, Donna Metts, of Florahome, Fla., and Joyce and William Howard, of Bedford, Ohio, one sister, Betty Aldridge, of Charleroi, two brothers, Linden Hepple, of Pricedale, and Forrest Hepple, of North Belle Vernon, nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Harvey, in 1997, one son-in-law, Robert Metts, and six sisters, Audrey Danilchak, Coletta Latta, Phillis Norman, Erma Davidson, Thelma Posic and Mildred Corbett.
