Willis D.Johnson;86;of Fayette City R.D.1 (Brownstown);died Wednesday;March 26;1997;in Monsour Medical Center;Jeannette;following a lengthy illness. He was born July 7;1910;in Fayette City;a son of the late Ellsworth H.and Alethea Briner Johnson. Mr.Johnson was a member of the Fayette City United Presbyterian Church;where he served as an elder for over 20 years. He was a retired steel worker for the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel co.at the Monessen Plant. Surviving are his wife;Olive Osborne Johnson;two daughters and sons-law;Patty and David Cable of Johnstown and Bonnie and William Jones of Sheffield Lake;Ohio;two granddaughters;Lorrie and Brenda;and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by two brothers;Eugene Johnson and E.H.(Jake) Johnson;and three sisters;Virginia Hough;Donna Stephens and Florence Highfield. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;334 Main St.;Fayette City;Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.;Sunday from noon to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday until 1 p.m.;the hour of service;in the funeral home with the Rev.Michael Shepard officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
