William W. (Buzz) Miller,60,of 334 Speer St.,Belle Vernon,former owner of the Dog House in Rostraver Twp.,died in Somerset General hospital Sunday,Aug.27,1967,at 8:40 a.m. of injuries suffered in a one-car crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near the Somerset interchange. His widow,Mildred,46,was listed in fair condition Monday morning in Somerset Hospital. The couple,who lived at 334 Speer St.,North Belle Vernon,was returning home Sunday from a visit with their son,William,who had just returned to New York after service in Vietnam,when the car operated by Mrs.Miller skidded on the rain-slick highway and crashed into a steel medical barrier. The couple was thrown from the car. Mr.Miller had operated the Dog House for 16 years before selling in in 1962. He was an employee of the Allenport Works of Pittsburgh Steel Co.at the time of his death. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church of Belle Vernon and the Knights of Columbus. Born in Beaver Falls on may 26,1907,he had lived in Belle Vernon 21 years. Surviving are his widow,Mildred Walkush Miller,a son,William G.,just returned from Vietnam on Aug.24 where he was stationed with the U.S.Army,a brother,Wilbur of New Brighton,two sisters,Mrs.Catherine Thumm and Mrs.Margaret Robinson of Beaver Falls and two grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,Belle Vernon,after 7 p.m. Aug.28. Visiting hours will then be 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m. Blessing service there Wednesday,Aug.30,at 9:30 a.m.followed by Requiem High Mass in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon,at 10 a.m. The Rev.Martin J. O'Toole,pastor,will officiate. Interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director.
