William T. Mullen; 89; of Belle Vernon (Washington Township); died Friday; April 27; 2007; at 1:20 p.m.; at Mon Valley Hospital; Carroll Township. Born Dec. 15; 1917; in Fairhope; he was a son of the late William Henry and Minnie Vitulla Mullen. A resident of Washington Township; Mr. Mullen was a member of Marion Presbyterian Church of Fairhope; a retired millwright from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel; Monessen plant; and was a World War II veteran; having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659; was an avid golfer and member of the St. Mary’s and Knights of Columbus golf leagues. He is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law; William J. and Janet Mullen; of Georgia; and Raymond Mullen; of Bridgeport; Ohio; five daughters and four sons-in-law; Michele and Carl Cathers; of Smithton; Desiree and Ted Wells; of Fayette City; Felicia and David Kurilko; of California; Celeste and Ted Wulovich Jr.; of Fallowfield Township; and Vanessa O’Toole; of Belle Vernon; brother; James Mullen; of Belle Vernon; three sisters and two brothers-in-law; Norma Dolores and Todd Stoessner; of Clearwater; Fla.; Theda Neidzwicki; of Myrtle Beach; S.C.; and Marilyn and Ernest Legg; of Belle Vernon; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; Geraldine Bonnell Mullen; a brother; Edward Mullen; and a great-granddaughter; Athena Anielewski. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the LEONARD J. PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME; Family Owned and Operated; 626 Broad Ave.; Belle Vernon; 724-929-6183.
